Bellevue, WA – October 10, 2006 – Talisma®, (www.education.talisma.com) a leading provider of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, today announced the availability of Talisma CRM 7.1, the latest version of the industry’s most powerful multi-channel CRM solution for higher education. The new release ushers in more than 40 new features and enhancements as well as critical support for Web Services object management featuring XML based API’s, providing increased functionality across all areas of the institution and the constituent lifecycle. Version 7.1 also supports the latest from Microsoft certifying on Windows 2003 R2 and MS SQL 2005 SP1. Talisma CRM 7.1 demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to the higher education community and vision for enabling colleges and universities with enterprise-wide CRM solution across strategic enrollment management, student services, alumni relations, and advancement.
"The new capabilities in Talisma CRM 7.1 will help us improve our campaign process, giving us the ability to better reach key audiences,” said Richard Toomey, Director of Admission, Indiana State University. “We are specifically interested in the new event management module, which will help us to better manage and automate an end to end event management workflow process from first contact through reporting. Talisma continues to deliver new enhancements that positively impact our operations and provide us with the tools to meet our institution’s promise of providing ‘More From Day One’."
"We are excited to enhance our industry-leading Talisma Multi-Channel CRM for Higher Education offering," said Dan Vetras, CEO, Talisma. "This is another example of how we aim to meet the needs and demands of our customers by giving them more event-driven and Web based capabilities. We want our higher education customers to be able to deliver exceptional constituent experiences in a cost-effective manner."
Key features of Talisma CRM 7.1 include:
Event Management:
The Event Management Module facilitates automated workflow processes for creating, managing, tracking and reporting higher education events, such as Web based or in-person functions. By streamlining logistical activities throughout an event lifecycle, including registrations, communication, costs and feedback, colleges and universities will be better equipped to execute more targeted and organized events for prospective, current and former students. The system allows an administrator to designate internal user permissions for report accessibility and task assignments.
Web Form Generator:
This enhanced version makes it easier to produce and manage Web forms through HTML templates and automated ASP processing pages for data mapping and generating the requisite XML. For example, a user can select the appropriate Web form template, save and modify it to suit the specific purpose, and rapidly deploy it live on the institution’s Web site or portal. This unprecedented level of automated ASP processing support ensures non-technical users can simply and easily create online forms to support communication initiatives.
Web Services Integration:
Talisma CRM 7.1 offers extensive Web Services support to easily integrate third party and legacy applications with Talisma. The XML based API’s extend to contact, account, and all custom objects within the Talisma framework, exposed as one Web Service per object and published as WSDL files. The Web Services can be licensed individually or as a bundled comprehensive license.
Additional Enhancements & Functionality:
Talisma CRM 7.1 includes several other enhancements that provide greater functionality throughout the application. Several enhancements to the Talisma Portal offering are now available, including the ability to plug stand alone portal components into a Web site, single sign-on for support, and a pre-packaged, yet customizable, student portal. In the Export feature, users can save export settings for future use or scheduled export processing.
Other improvements to the new version include the Click to Dial feature, which lets agents dial from an opportunity to connect directly to the contact, and the Audit Configuration feature that supports configurable property and event auditing which will improve performance and save disk space.
