Proactive Monitoring Delivers Diagnostics and Curative Measures for System Optimization 100 New Features Extends Functionality and Configurability

Bellevue, WA - January 24, 2005 - Talisma®, (www.education.talisma.com) a leading provider of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, today announced the immediate availability of Talisma CRM 7.0, the latest version of the industry's most powerful multi-channel CRM solution for higher education. With more than 100 new and enhanced features, seven new add-on modules, including a comprehensive Health Check system, Talisma CRM 7.0 delivers unmatched institution-wide CRM functionality across strategic enrollment management, student services, alumni relations, and advancement processes for higher education institutions. Designed to seamlessly integrate with existing SIS and ERP systems, Talisma is based on a configurable process management platform.

Talisma CRM 7.0 provides increased functionality that yields significant enhancements across all areas of the institution and the student/constituent lifecycle. The additions apply to three general categories: greater enhanced access to disparate data sources; improved user experience and administration capabilities; and industry leading software diagnostics. The new release demonstrates Talisma's market-leading vision for a holistic CRM solution for prospecting, recruiting, marketing, and retaining constituents and further supports Talisma's continued commitment to the higher education community.

Talisma CRM 7.0: Seven New Modules

Offering market leading functionality, Talisma's Health Check is a powerful self-diagnosis tool that proactively monitors the system to maximize performance and prevent downtime. For example, information on disk space usage or frequency of systems back up can be scheduled and sent on a regular basis with step by step follow up instructions. Health Check is configurable supports the creation of rules to carry out actions based on the status of system functionality. For instance, a rule can be created to "send mail notification" if a database is reaching a threshold. In addition, managers can receive consolidated Health Check reports, which can be sent to designated mailboxes on a regular basis for comprehensive monitoring.

Talisma's Export and Import modules enable greater data integration and support multiple databases and data formats to help drive further efficiencies. Based on a single interface and designed for ease of use, both the Export and Import modules are entirely wizard-driven and permissions-driven so leveraging information across systems is straightforward. Talisma's Import module helps users funnel critical data into the CRM solution by integrating crucial data, including standardized test scores such as the PSATs, SATs, ACTs and other search data sources, such as CEEB and NRCUAA, as well as data existing in SIS and ERP systems. This data integration delivers complete constituent profiles into a single view and feeds targeted marketing and relationship management programs with highly relevant information. Talisma's Export module provides a single integration point for seamless data export from Talisma CRM into SIS and ERP systems in order to analyze and optimize data across the board.

For enhanced campaign management, Talisma CRM 7.0 includes a new Campaign Dashboard module that enables all campaigns to be viewed, together or individually, in a single interface. Separately, the Campaign Enhancement module provides more convenient features that save time and drive productivity within Talisma Campaign. For example, users can save and reuse complicated filters across campaigns easily navigating across complex campaign workflows with a few mouse clicks to create exciting mailers by simply cutting and pasting from other applications directly into Talisma Campaign.

Talisma CRM 7.0 includes other modules that deliver greater functionality throughout all areas of the application. For example, the Outbound Calling module enables a new "make call" step for truly multi-media campaigns that contains email, hard copy, and telephone communications in a dynamic multi-step workflow. This module offers many drill-down features to help users enable this critical step in the outreach process. Talisma's Print Templates module delivers automatic letter generation with labels and enables the easy creation of print templates with object support as well as Fax and PDF support. Dozens of features help drive effectiveness and save time and money. For example, the new ability to sort on any contact property allows mailers to be sorted by location so no more than exact postage is used.
